An Extensive Renovation

This residential renovation balances heritage preservation with a shift toward a contemporary, light-filled living environment. The design enhances architectural features while introducing modern functionality — with lighting shaping atmosphere, depth, and usability throughout.

TecLED collaborated from the earliest stages, working closely with the architect and client to integrate architectural lighting seamlessly throughout the home.

Lighting design approach

• Intentional restraint — carefully positioned downlights provide targeted illumination without over-lighting
• Warm residential ambience — a consistent 2700K colour temperature for a calm, cohesive atmosphere
• Flexible solutions — recessed track lighting with adjustable fittings adapts focus between key living zones

Key applications

Powder room — a concealed Bendi LED profile behind the circular mirror produces a soft halo over the handmade Moroccan tiled wall.

Bar shelving — integrated Mini Cover and Micro Profiles recessed into the shelving create a soft vertical wash across the bronze mirror backdrop and arched detailing.

Staircase — recessed mini eyelid stair lights provide low-level, indirect illumination that guides movement safely.

Bathrooms — under-cabinet and under-mirror lighting introduce a soft ambient glow that doubles as a practical night light.

Exterior — a Taipan Snake Light concealed within each stair nosing creates a continuous ribbon of light toward the pool, with DC48V LED spotlights guiding the entry pathway.
